Game 1 vs Columbus Mariners (win 17-3): Camden picked up the win over his two innings allowing one hit and striking out four. Broc and Beau finished it out only giving up two runs and one hit. Offensively, Ian and Caejon each had two hits. Miles, Will, Tycen, Beau and Isaiah all added a hit apiece. Ian had a double and three RBIs while Caejon chipped in two RBIs.

  Game 2 vs Lincoln... Dominators Purple (win 9-8): Camden got the win again on the mound pitching just 2/3 innings shutting the down on a rally the Dominators had in the 5th inning. At the plate Ian and Will each had two hits (Ian had a double and triple and Will had two RBIs). Gavin, Miles, Ethan, Caejon and Isaiah all had one hit apiece. Ethan had a triple and Isaiah had his first home run.

Side note: The Bat Busters only struck out 10 times at the plate on the first day. Very impressive boys.

  Game 3 vs GI Riverdogs (win 10-8): Another crazy stat for the weekend is that Camden recorded the win on the mound in this game as well. He came in the game when it was tied and we eventually scored three runs in the bottom of the inning. That's a pretty cool feat for a player and we will have another one at the end that is just as cool. The Bat Buster pitchers only allowed two hits on the game and struck out six batters. Ian was 3 for 3 at the plate with a home run and three RBIs. Gavin and Ethan had the other two hits (Ethan's was a double). The boys combined for 11 stolen bases in the game.

  

  Game 4 vs Lincoln Dominators Purple (8-4): Camden, Beau and Miles limited the Dominators to only six hits and struck out eight. Ian had two hits with one being a double. Gavin, Miles, Ethan and Tycen each had one hit apiece. Ethan had a two RBI single in the bottom of the 4th to tie the game at four. In the end the Bat Busters ran out of gas and lost in the Championship game earning a 2nd Place Finish.

Overall, the coaches are extremely proud of the improvements since the start of the season. We still have some work to do but the boys should hold their chin and chest high. Now for the most impressive stat of the weekend. IAN ARENDS was a PERFECT NINE FOR NINE at the plate. That is absolutely incredible and I felt that needed to be recognized. Way to go Ian, your teammates and coaches are proud of you. Keep grinding boys.
